You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and drive to Ephesus. Ephesus is an ancient Roman city and one of Turkey’s top sights along with Istanbul and Cappadocia. It contains such grand public buildings as the impressive Library of Celsus, the Theatre, the Temple of Hadrian and Temple of Artemis which considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The ruins also include public toilets and even a brothel dating mostly from the fourth century BC. You can stroll for hours along its streets passing temples, theatres, libraries, houses and statues. But the Ephesus archeological site is not only reason to visit this region. The House of Virgin Mary is also one of the places that should be visited near Ephesus. A long and winding road affords wonderful views of the valley en route to the Shrine of St. Mary. The diminutive house, beautifully situated in the Solmissos Mountains, is considered by the Vatican to be the final resting place of the Virgin Mary. Sirince is a cute little village with a history, beautiful views, wonderful wine and hospitality. It is 12 kms away from Ephesus.
